The description is spot on as my photos illustrate. These are the fine details you may be wondering about.. The vent hole is 1/2 inch if you choose to close it for a condensing option. The thin rim is 7/16 if you need wood strips to support the sugar weight for bee space (a dowel rod could be used). The sugar rim is 1-1/2 inches. This Candy board does come with some paper to line the screen or use newspaper or wax paper. The estimated sugar volume should be around 12 lbs or 26-28 cups.. Normally there is no need to use a candy-board but this year is an exception. You could build your own but the materials are nearly as much as ordering this item ready to use. Its my opinion this item is well constructed and affordable for its intended purpose.
