I have had a gumdrop tree (clear plastic with "branches") for probably 7 years. It is a tradition for me to decorate it with the grandkids. It originally came with oversized gumdrops but I could never find any like them (other than from that catalog and they were ridiculously expensive). After that used fruit slices from a chain that carries discounted stuff. That chain has pretty much disappeared, so turned to Amazon.These are perfect! Larger than a normal gumdrop. Lots of sugar coating, so each is very shiny. The gumdrops are fresh so stick easily to the tree. The 5 grands and I happened to sample several of the gumdrops and they were great! I did have a few that were undersized or broken--but those tasted great!I will be ordering these every year!If you are looking for the gumdrop of your youth, these probably taste like you remember. These are larger than the gumdrops of my youth--but I prioritize taste over a perfect physical match.
