Product Review: If you are familiar with Haribo Gummy Bears, these are not the same texture and they aren't supposed to be. These are a softer, stickier chew than the bears, but as long as they aren't super soft from sitting in the sun or something then they don't stick to your teeth like caramel. Some reviews have likened these to Sweedish Fish but I'd say the Smurfs are more solid than those. While close in idea to Sweedish Fish, they have a different taste and texture. They aren't overly sweet, which IMO is a good thing as I don't like candy that is too sweet. The flavor is what I would describe as a soft fruity flavor, perhaps like a blue raspberry, but not overpowering. Each individual Smurf is about 1.75" tall, about 1" wide, and about 0.25" thick (all at the largest measurement). Good for multiple bites for kids! Background: I'm an Army brat. When we were in Frankfurt years ago there was a German alcohol shop on the way to school that sold all kinds of yummy gummy candy. This was one of them and as a kid I loved 'em and couldn't get enough.Fast Forward: I have found other versions of Haribo Smurfs here in the states and tried them with disappointment because they weren't what I remembered. I saw these and jumped at the sight. They came in the mail today and I sunk my teeth into them and I instantly knew it was them. Still taste awesome and it was like I was on the way to school again...Only problem now is that I have to get more! :) A huge thanks to the sellers for providing these. Will be buying more in the future for sure!!
