My father played trumpet in college many many years ago. His band played once with Al Hirt. This album played on our record player often. So happy to have the digital version for trips down memory lane. If you enjoy happy music with the clear crops horn playing. You will enjoy this album. Close your eyes and feel yourself setting the record on the player. Listen for the drop of the album, the whir of the needle arm as it hovers then lowers onto the record. Finally, that wonderful moment as the music begins to play.As a long-time fan, I had this album growing up, and was thrilled too find it again! Al was incomparable, and this album highlights his virtuosity and improvisational skills!
