I got this item and it really works great. It is extremely easy to put the tape in and then just push the button and it Dispenses the right amount of tape that you need. I have just solved the annual fiddle of gift wrapping! So delighted that I immediately ordered a second one for a friend. I loved that they give you two rolls of tape, but especially that they have put first one onto the reel, so you can see how to do it. So easy to use! Squeeze trigger to advance a.leader of tape, hold trigger in and press leader against parcel, then when you have gone as far as you need to, simply release trigger to cut! Or simply advance and release to cut a short length! Genius!I was really hoping this would help tape presents etc really quickly. I was wrong! It is quite a fiddle loading the tape but that isn't the main problem. The trigger sometimes cuts the tape, sometimes it doesn't. If you don't realise what it is doing there are lots of bits of cut tape clogging the front of the device. It is very wasteful. When it does work properly- usually when taping a really solid package e.g. a hardback book, then it works quite well. Anything softer just ends up as a tape mess. It wasn't hugely expensive - maybe a more solid example made of metal would be more effective. I can't really recommend it.I have bought several tape dispensers and they have been nothing special and basic…I have loved the look of these for a while and eventually decided to swap my boring regular dispenser for this.I am so glad that I did…it looks very pretty I’m the desk and is very easy to use…particularly when wrapping gifts which I have just used it for. If you want a short piece of tape, quickly press and it will release a small piece of tape that you can use…alternatively, if you want a longer piece you hold it down longer.You can either dispense a long piece or what is useful and time saving is to hold the mouth of the dispenser against the paper you want to tape and glide the dispenser along the paper to stick it down. This can be done with one hand (whereas normally you would need two hands to enable cutting).It saves so much time. It is also very easy to load the new roll of tape. Can’t recommend enough. Fabulous piece of equipment and looks good on your desk too.This is the one! I’ve had all kinds of sellotape gadgets (including the wrist strap refillable cartridge things) but this is the one. It’s perfect, does exactly what it says, cuts tape with one hand, cuts extended lengths of tape, you can use it a bit like a full size tape roll gun (although this is not its primary function so get one of them if you’re regularly packing large items) no faffing, fits cheapo tape rolls so you not tied to a particular tape, you won’t be disappointed!I absolutely love this tape dispenser. I had to bubble wrap hundreds of items over Christmas and using this dispenser was a breeze. You simply press in the lever attach it to the item you needing to tape down - pull and release. If you want a longer piece of tape you just pull it out a little longer and it automatically cuts off. Its one of my favourite 'must haves' for any small businesses I think. Makes attaching labels to packaging boxes so much quicker as well & I can highly recommend it. This is the second item I have purchased from this brand in the past month & I trust in this brand as well for high quality products.
