Lemonheads were named and formulated in 1962 by Ferrara Pan Candy Company using the same cold panned process as the company's Red Hots. Since then the candy has become so popular that currently Ferrara Pan produces approximately 500 million Lemonheads per year. Due to the success of the Lemonheads, Ferrara Pan Candy Company added flavors to create a "Headline" assortment which include, the original Lemonhead, Grapehead, Orangehead, Applehead and Cherryhead.

This product was great. Idk why they don't sell the individual boxes in stores anymore but they are IMPOSSIBLE to find. The candy is great, tastes just like original lemonheads. Only downside is that they'll likely all be pretty stuck together since they're shipped in a bag. Doesn't matter to me, the candy is exactly like the original
