These caramels are in essence the traditional 'dulce de leche' Cuban caramels. The taste and the quality are good, but the packing does not protect the caramels, and some were received smashed and compressed by the freight handlers. A square plastic container with a cap will protect them well against that. They came in a transparent and very flexible and thin plastic bag.impossible to unwrap. So frustrating. Flavor, freshness good, once you get them opened. Would send back if not such a problem.Flavor was good will re-order. She said they tasted great and couldn't stop eating them.Update: 12/21/19. I am unfortunately lowering my rating for these from a 5 star to a 3 star. The problem is they taste differently almost every time I order them. That hasn't been a problem in the past but this box is just not good. VERY hot comparison to my previous orders and just frankly not a good taste. If this was a one off problem I wouldn't even mention it but as I said, almost every box has a slightly different taste. At least that is my opinion. These are larger than the ones you find in the candy stores and are really great. If you love fireballs these are the real deal.These are not as good as the caramel in caramarsh but they are quite a bit cheaper.They are a bit difficult to unwrap but storing them in the fridge makes this easier. I really love the gourmet caramel but I can't afford the money or the calories to eat them as often as I would likeI love these caramel candies. Very tasty indeed. Being a caramel lover my eyes literally popped out when I saw the amount of candy in that bag. I was smiling and jumped right in. If you love caramel candy like I do and want to have them to share or just enjoy and you go along get this bag. And yes it arrived at my home quickly. A HUGE thumbs way up from this buyer. Cheers!!
