Peppermint has always been something I can't resist and King Leo is especially hard. In fact I've already eaten more than half. I'm gonna take it slow on the rest and enjoy it. Maybe that's why I love Christmas so much, I can find it everywhere. I order from these people because they are fast shippers and so far haven't ran out and a fair price. This product is so hard to find these days. I like it because it is soft candy . Won't hurt your teeth when biting on it . Easier to chew when a piece is broken off . Can also be broken up easier if adding to homemade fudge .Five stars for the candy, the peppermint sticks are perfect. Just as I remember them, but I was hoping to get the Tin Can container of old. The packaging has switched to cardboard in this modern era. Oh well, things change and I understand they must. Still some of the best candy sticks made. We used to jam the peppermint sticks into a fresh orange, and suck up orange juice through the little holes in the soft candy. Fun, long ago childhood memory. *Grin*I’ve been buying this product since 1988. It is changed substantially over the years. The entry here indicates that they are unwrapped in a tin. But I got this year was wrapped in a cardboard tube. The original ones I used to get were hard candy. These are more like an after dinner mint butter mint. All that being said, they still taste really nice. Amazons advertising entry needs to be updated. The write-up for this says it comes in a decorative metal tin. Mine came in a cardboard container. While I would have liked to have gotten the tin, I am completely satisfied with the product. My grandfather always had a box of King Leo sticks on the table beside "his" chair when I was a child. It was a great treat to be given one. He's been gone almost 50 years now. This year, I gave a container of these to my brother for Christmas; he took one look at it, smiled and said "Granddaddy."I thought the container was a tin can. It was cardboard. The candy was not fresh. This was a birthday gift. No time to get another one. I was soo sadVery good peppermint sticks. Perfect for a cup of hot chocolate or a treat. Did not come in a tin like the picture shows but rather a cardboard container. The peppermint sticks are very good and fresh. They are individually wrapped, but don't taste or look bad like a lot of the reviews said.Would have given 5 stars, but they were in a cardboard can instead of a tin as advertised. I would have used the tin after getting through the mints..I was looking at various food products in the Amazon store and came across King Leo's peppermints. I read the various reviews and developed an appetite for peppermint. These peppermints in the cute can are really good. The candy is individually was. The candy itself has a thin hard shell surrounding a very soft peppermint flavoured candy. They're amazingly good. Each stick is about 1 1/2" in length. This will definitely become my mint if choice (along with Altoids).I keep them in my officeVisitors seem to like them, great that they're individually wrapped. Nice peppermint tastCertainly not the best lol there are better peppermint products out there! As advertised, these soft peppermint sticks are 3” long, separately wrapped, and come in a sturdy can. If you like peppermint flavour, but never cared for hard candy canes like me, then you’ll love these yummy treats.Well worth the cost when they are sold for 12.98, would not purchase at 19.98!!!
