My niece went to France 2 weeks for school, and brought back a bag of these straight from France. I tried one. Immediately hopped on Amazon to try to find them. Great success!!! I ordered 2 bags. Already super popular in my household. I'm munching these as I write this. Not too sweet. Love the texture. Love them. So frigging good.Taste soo good but this was my second time ordering and they seemed a little less fresher than the first time I bought but still would buy again soon?I'm an occasional Francophile and I read on Buzzfeed that these candies are very popular in France so I thought I'd give them a go. My mistake! I'm normally a pretty adventurous eater and I love trying sweets from around the world, but I guess my American palate just wasn't refined enough for these! The inner part has the consistency of a circus peanut (You know those orange rubbery ones your grandparents always had laying around for some reason) with a slight strawberry flavor coated in a large grain strawberry sugar. Not my cup of tea, I suppose. These are candies made in France. We first tasted them at the Culinary Institute of America. A friend who is from France and runs a French Bistro near us said these are his favorite candies. I was surprised to find them at Amazon (why should I be?). Got some for him and his wife for Christmas-they were just delighted! They have a soft, sort-of marshmallow-like center that is sweet, then the coating is pink sugar but it's very tart. These are the candies I remember enjoying back in high school foreign language club. They're sugar coated strawberry chews. Like a cross between marshmallow and gummy. Good flavor but the batch I got was a little stale.Delicious candy we first had when we vacationed in France. So glad to find this available online, as every piece reminds me of walking the streets of Paris and the wonderful time we had there!Tastes great (exactly like I remember from my childhood) but watch out for shipping costs (shipping is way more expensive than product!).A friend of ours from France introduced us to these candies. They are impossible to find in any stores in the US. They are delicious. It was quick shipping and my sons are very happy! I don't know how fresh my bag is, it seems like it's a bit old and dried out. They're quite dense, dry and chewy for the first few seconds, then they dissolve and melt away into sugar my mouth. The texture is sort of like a very stale, more dense marshmallow peep. The strawberry flavor is nice, but these are *very* sweet. A little too sweet for my liking. I would compare the sweetness to cotton candy. The bag is also fairly small for the price. They were fun to try, but I won't buy them again.I bought these for my daughter as a stocking stuffer but we ended up looking for a snack and got into these early. Both of my kids like these strawberry marshmallow candies you find in stores, and i've tried Haribo products before so i bought these. I thought they may want to try some different ones. Both of my kids loved these, and said they taste way better than others they've had. I'm not big into candy, and i don't really like marshmallows to begin with but i'm pretty sure i ate more of these than both of them...actually i did eat more, i ate the whole bag the moment they left the room. Was expecting the real strawberry marshmallow candy you know the ones that are light like a piece of styrofoam. These are dense with gritty sugar coating. The bags they came in look dirty and old yet the expiry date seems ok? Well if you are after the light real strawberry flavored marshmallow candy you will sadly be disappointed. They don’t taste bad but the sugar grit and the density of these candies ruined it for me.
