I found a Minion marshmallow recipe I wanted to try and the yellow candy melts turned out to be the perfect color. They did arrived melted but it was a hot day and that is what they are supposed to do. It was easy to return the melted solid glob that arrived in to a workable dipping coating. I melted them in an electric chocolate fondue pot on the high setting then turned to the low setting once the candy melts were fully melted. As a special note, if the melts are too thick or clumpy you can add a very small amount of coconut oil bit by bit until you have the right smooth consistency. I probably used about 3 teaspoons for the entire bag. I also kept some of the melts on the side so if I added to much oil I could thicken it up by adding more melts. The dipped marshmallows were completely dry to the touch within an hour and I had enough product to cover 14 super jumbo marshmallows. I used smarties for the eyes (stuck them on right after dipping) and black color gel for the details that I added after the marshmallows were dry. Blue frosting attached the minions to brownie cup bases. They were a hit!I ordered this specific color which I could not find locally too close to the 4th of July! It was perfect, but unfortunately, even though it came the next day, it was 90-degees+ outside and the candies were soft and melting. It did not affect the product as I was going to melt them anyway but I won't order candy in summer any more.Hard to ship without insulating during summer. They were already melted when I received so I had to break up to only melt little bits at a time. It’s pricey to only get so many cake pops decorated. I think I will go a different route. Tastes great and worked for this time. The candy melts are exactly what they are supposed to be. The thing I wanted to point out was that the seller is putting in the extra effort of using the cutest packaging I have seen in a long time. I knew what was in the package but was even more excited when I saw how cute it was. They where ok but some was meltedEasy to use.I bought these candy melts for my valentines sale thinking i would use them on my chocolates, strawberries, etc.. They dont melt as good as some other chocolate melts ive used but if you add some coconut oil it improves the consistency. The taste however was not good. I couldn't use these for my strawberries or chocolates but they worked great for my breakable hearts because the flavor didn't matter as much.Received in standard mailer so try to catch earlier if it's being delivered on a hot day, I used a microwave safe GLASS bowl and heated the chocolate up in minute incriminates on the normal heat setting ( not defrost like the package states) and after about 20 minutes and a good stir it was pretty liquidity and easy to dip the fruit into, the chocolate stayed melted long enough to do half the berry's then was very easy to remelt in the microwave following same steps as priorTaste was amazing, will be a repurchase for sureI used this for coating marshmallows to look like Lego men’s heads.I found it difficult to get a good consistency with the melts. They stared going thicker and granular, I let it cool and tried to melt again but no success, I even tried adding a tiny amount of milk to loosen it. Despite my recipe asking for these for this purpose I found it difficult to get it to stick to the marshmallow. In the end I chucked it all out and went with my original plan of yellow food colouring on icing sugar - worked perfectly. The melts were expensive and not worth the effort, money and tasted synthetic and not very nice. I managed to make 2 pops with the candy melts and neither child that tried it liked them.Terrible product. These are Candy Not-Melts! We tried half a bag in the microwave, as instructed, and they just congealed into a fairly solid lump. So we tried the second half in a double boiler on the hob and the same thing happened. They simply wouldn't melt into anything near runny enough for dipping cake pops into. Awful waste of time trying to get this to work. My daughter will now have to go and buy some white chocolate instead to complete her school project. Don't waste your money.Very bad quality, I used Wilton candy melts many times before and its always great, easy to use and reliable. this time I don’t know whether the seller didn’t store it properly or whether it is a faked one but quality was awful , I was disappointed and a its big let down, it won’t melt, stayed hard, tried different techniques with water bath/ microwave but nop it wouldn’t melt . Sorry about the bad review but it was a big let down when I planned using it to make pop cake for a friend’s birthdayThese candy melts are lovely! Children loved the colour and it really does not need any more decoration or work to make it look pretty, I bought it to make cake pops for my sons birthday and as am a novice, i wanted minimal work. Was happy when I saw this at our local party shop and decided to order it here as I couldn't make my mind up then. It was minimal fuss and can be used with a microwave as well. I put a teaspoon of oil to make it a bit shinier and smoother and it worked well! My cake pops turned out to be pretty and hardly any effort to make. I would definitely use these again!I had been using normal chocolate for my cake pops before watching a YouTube tutorial suggesting these. These need to be melted very slowly and stirred every 30 seconds to stop them burning. These don't go as runny as normal chocolate so they create quite a thick shell around the cake ball. They set really quickly and really hard so you get a crunchy outside to complement the soft cakey inside. Which I'm told is the intended result for cake pops.I have to say that these don't go nearly as far as normal chocolate so they can work out quite expensive. I'm not sure that I could afford to get these again as I always make my cake pops in big batches.
