Adopted a kitten at 2 months old, and yikes, those tiny claws are needle-sharp! Snagging on carpet, furniture, blankets, you name it. Tried keeping them trimmed but literally had to every couple days. Also worried that she might accidentally scratch our over eager toddler in the face, and found these Purrdy Paws. They work very well, but do take a bit of practice to put on. Super-glued my fingers to, well, everything the first few times. The cat did take a couple days to adjust to the feeling, but months later doesn't mind at all as long as I replace only a couple at a time as they fall off. We keep them on her at all times, and no damage to furniture, no more band-aid covered arms on bath day, and no boo-boos on the baby. They fall off naturally over time as she sheds her nails, without damaging her claws. They are sold in single packs with a dozen or so caps, and in value packs with different color combinations. Each comes with several tubes of glue and several nozzle tips to fit into the tiny nail caps. Read instructions first, it helps a lot if you've never used them before. Also a tip I've learned to avoid clogging the nozzles after use when glue dries inside, and avoid more super glue mess by trying to remove the tip to replace the cap, I now keep the nozzle on all the times and use a push pin to plug the end. This keeps the glue from drying and clogging. I store it up in a corner where it won't get knocked over easily, but so far even being knocked over, no glue has leaked out with this method. My ONLY complaint is that the size "x-small" for "kitten" is reccomended for all cats under one year. But at 6 months, I'm already noticing they fit tighter on some claws, are more difficult to put on, and the caps don't go all the way to the nail bed like they used to. I'm planning to use up the last of them then go up to the next size on my next order. We love being able to color coordinate her nails with the holidays, and have gotten many compliments from friends, family, and her veterinary providers! Also, the variety they come in is amazing. I would recommend these to any cat owner!Side note:We are currently looking to adopt a puppy, and guess what? They're available for dogs too! We'll continue using this product, very satisfied!
